Yes Bank has welcomed a new change in their continual growing reign with Mr. Anurag Adlakha taking over as the new CHRO. It has come as a development to the retirement of Mr. Deodutta Kurane, the last position-holder whose retirement was due on January 1st, 2021. Adlakha was serving as the group CFO, Yes Bank, before taking on this coveted role. Niranjan Banodkar will fill in his shoes as the new group CFO at the Yes Bank.
Adlakha was recently roped in at the Yes Bank in August 2019. He boasts of a handsomely long career spanning three decades. Adlakha started off his banking career at Saudi British Bank based in Riyadh. He spent four years there before joining HSBC as Manager (financial control) in 1996. By 1999, he moved up to the ranks of CFO. After serving HSBC for eight years, in 2007, he decided to take his career further by moving to the Standard Chartered Bank.
Taking command as CFO for India & South Asia at the Standard Chartered, he served the said position for eight years. He was also appointed as the interim CEO at the bank for a brief six-month period before he accepted the role of group CFO in the year 2015. Adlakha’s longest stint was with this very bank, i.e. 10 years. In 2019, he embraced the position of President & CFO at Jana Small Finance Bank. Just seven months later, he got offered the position of group CFO at Yes Bank.
