It is a value driven by the L&D function of any company and there are three necessary steps training leaders must take to ensure that their company is truly an agile learning organization.

A huge part of effective learning depends on understanding the learning gaps. Collecting and analyzing the correct data has a huge role to play in creating this understanding. Organizations which have grasped the importance of this process are deliberate in their adaptation. They continuously engage with senior leaders, learning trends along with data of required and available skills and capabilities of their employees. A study conducted by Josh Bersin Academy has found out that 60% of the high performing companies have a learning analytics portal. 75% of them have taken data analytics seriously and use multiple sources of internal and external data to identify gaps and concurrent strategies.

Optimal Decision-making

To find out the correct ways to invest in the learning and development strategies of a company is a lot harder than it seems. However, it is the defining process of a company’s growth or ability to grow when the moment arrives. Organizations with agile learning processes focus on empowering their L&D teams which build and adapt according to the needs of the future. The study shows that 73% of leading organizations ensure that their learning leaders are continuously involved in the ‘future’ of the business, leadership management and goal alignment to achieve the best results.

Experimentation and innovation – two words that no L&D department can ignore. It defines the very purpose of learning and helps in reinventing an organization which is how sustainable growth is achieved. Continuously experimenting with new tools and techniques of learning, implementing data driven strategies is what sets most of the high performing businesses apart. It is simply not enough to only talk about being digital ready but implementing it in every process, every operation of your company is what will ensure agility.
